Dear Mook has money,

Next year you're coming home! Yea! Hooray! Number one rule I learned from conference: Never put a firecracker in the chapel! So this kid, he brings a firecracker into the chapel. Another kid wants to smell it so he smells it, then he gets burned by the rope where it's burning, so he dropped it, then the two kids watched in horror, then it blew up, then they open all the windows to make the smoke get out. That day there would be meeting. It was church. Everybody smelled the firecracker. The person accidentally dropped it didn't feel worthy so he didn't take part of the Sacrament cuz he didn't feel like he was worthy.

How is Elder Wightman? Great!

Two nights ago I slept right between the treadmill and the tv, and the tv player fell off the tv and hit my chin. It hurt so bad that I woke up screaming, but I still don't remember it. Mom said “How is the bruise on your face?” and I had to say “What bruise?” Scab.

Five days ago my bunny died. Sad. I only had him or a few weeks. We don't know why.

How's your investigators? Good! How is Zhang De Wei? That's great!

It's been great week except for the bunny died. Love, Seth

Hi scrumptious love muffin of my whole life. I love you SO SO SO SO MUCH! You precious boy. I am so grateful to be your Mom. It is one of the very best things that has ever happened to me.

HOW WAS YOUR WEEK? We are so excited for all your news. I am so anxious to hear about everyone's everything.

Oh sweet boy. We just finished 12 hours of general conference. What an scrumptious feast to the soul. I am wondering if you were able to watch it yet? It was magnificent. To me it felt like a great big invitation of love, an offering of exquisite blessings, and a pleading loving yearning discussion of the blessings the Lord is so anxious to pour into our lives, but is unable to unless we choose to be obedient. It was really really wonderful. The truth was so powerful, so beautifully spoken I just got chills several times. The Spirit was very strong. There was a lot of discussion about JOY JOY JOY! This gospel is JOY!

Oh, Mckay, I want to be a better missionary! I am going to double, triple, quadfourple quintuplet my efforts. My life is filled with resplendent joy, drenched in wonder, bathed in glory. I am so overwhelmed with blessings. Every day the phrase “ridiculous splendor”. How can I give back? Impossible, but I will die trying. How can I help others to experience this incredible joy?
I want to be better in EVERY SINGLE SINGLE WAY. I am excited for a new start, new morning, new sunrise, new goals!

It has been a tender week. Haven's brother and his wife's sweet baby was born. He didn't have a brain and lived nearly three hours. I hope Coy wrote you about all this. He had a sweet experience and was able to have a good conversation with Haven's father. There are these little miracles and blessings that surround great suffering. It kind of breaks down the walls between people. Today is also the 6 month anniversary of baby Lewis's birth. Things are tender with these two babies going back to heaven.

There are a lot of preparations for the wedding this weekend! It's very exciting. You will love Scott. He is so awesome, so chill, funny, fun, low drama, high funny, and they are so cute and so in love.

They will be married Saturday morning at 8 a.m. In the new Provo City Center Temple. They will have a wedding luncheon at a stake center and a fun outdoor afternoon reception. This is so Jena; she is planning on having service projects at her wedding. She wants to tie quilts for the refugees, make birthday cards for the mental hospital, and give out pay it forward service cards. Cute.

So our week has been fun:

  • Operation Chicken Kidnap happened Friday night. Jayna got Bishop Smith's chickens, but was storing them in Eric and Julie Peterson's Taj Mahal chicken coop while they rebuilt Bishop Smith's. Anyway, they had to get them out, so Avery Jake Joseph and I tried to grab them in their sleep, in the dark, and get the over to Hunts. They boys were nothing but ninnies. They were holding shovels in the air trying to get the chickens to jump on to the shovels just by wishing them there. The neighborhood girls from Abby's Harry Potter birthday party came out and Karli Sorensen and the Ayre girls climbed right up the ladder and grabbed the chickens and just carried them over. It was so funny.
  • We got a sweet text from Corby Campbell during conference. He mentioned Elder Nelson's talk about service and thanked our family for the help we are giving him.
  • Joseph and Spen played some pretty fun soccer together this week. They are fun. I think you will be amazed at how tall they are.
  • Seth is trying a fun new school. It is just Tuesday til 3 and Wednesday half day, just tons of fun classes, then they buy you any of the curriculum you want! I think we are going to go for that instead of K12 with him, to leave a little more time for the school of life, school of Jesus, school of service.
  • Grandma Jan had a flood on Saturday night in her spare bedroom bathroom. I'm so grateful that I have boys that I can say “RUN” to and they do.
  • I love my children more than words can say. I love my husband so so much. Your Dad is feeling so much better, it's kind of like a miracle.
  • Tanner, Spencer, Seth and I just did a very touching interpretive dance to Hallelujah. We've got a touch of cabin fever after 12 hours of conference.
I LOVE YOU PRECIOUS BOY more than WORDS CAN SAY EVER EVER EVER. How can I help you? What can I do?
  • So we had the size 10 ring already. 14 what's? 14 somethings?
  • Elder Nelson's talk was really especially touching to me. He spoke about gratitude as a healing and saving principle. The Spirit is working a lot with me on that very thing. Living in delicious and wondrous gratitude is the key to heaven, the key to feeling like life is heaven and the key to being happy.
  • I've also been feeling to not outrun the Spirit. The pace of life is slow and thoughtful enough that I can hear the Spirit. I love running when I receive direction, but I want to also make sure to “be still and know that I am God” sometimes. He is the Prince of Peace, not the prince of panic.
  • Please know that every breath you take, every step you walk, every time you open your mouth to share God's love, every time you bolster your courage, every time you kneel down, everywhere and anywhere and any time day or night whatever you do, there is a little 5 foot 4 mother who is thinking of you, cheering you on, praying for you, dancing with your cardboard, missing you, and thanking Heavenly Father that she gets the privilege of being your Mom.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

to me
We will watch it this weekend! They take a week to translate into Chinese!

That is so Jen.

That is the best Chicken kidnap I've ever heard of.

I've realized how important the REAL schools are out here. There are some kids in School from 7 Am til 9 PM. They don't learn a whole lot about how life really is, how to interact with people, how to LIVE! Their parents don't trust them, saying that If they had more time all they would do is play video games. Thanks for trusting me growing up. :)

Oops. They just said ring size 14, and that it should be the same as overseas.

Are you really five foot four?

Love ya tons, thanks so much Mom. :)

Elder Mookie
