Good morning my sweet wonderful amazing missionary! We love you so very very much! We spent the weekend staring at your face because we sent you right next to the TV! It was so fun. Wasn’t Conference amazing? I’m so excited to hear about your week. I wrote down some of the things that everybody said after conference when we do that little thing where we snuggle up and talk about it and so I wanted to share some of them. Lydia said she loved how President Nelson just lay down but there is no racism in the church and that every child of God is loved equally and there’s absolutely no in equality between races. Mckay said Establishing spiritual habits and Christ centered practices now will prepare us for what is ahead that hit him really hard. Cory said the house the world will speak less of Christ, we need to speak of him more. Dad said my dad said what it means to gather Israel as the world darkens our light will shine more. Jen said what stuck out to her is that we need to bond with those who believe in the Savior and share our United faith in Christ even with people of other faiths. Spencers talked about Elder Ballard‘s pray our prayer invitation to pray with whatever God you believe in and whatever faith you have. Becca pointed out that she didNot even know who our local leaders are to pray for them and she wanted to find that out. Those were some of the thoughts after the morning session which we walked watched over at Jello’s of course. And then after the second session we kind of had another talk about themes that we felt were in conference. And one was President Nelson joy and optimism about the future feeling joy and optimism about the future. Not even know who our local leaders are to pray for them and she wanted to find that out. W I love the elder Renlunds talk I always do, he is just so fantastic. I love how he talked about loving mercy not just giving mercy because were supposed to with a grudging heart but actually getting to the point where we love being merciful to people. Remember the story he told about the doctor in the hospital and how she was begrudging the duty she had to care for someone who is there because of choices he made regarding alcohol, and the training doctor said you are here to heal people not to judge them and if you don’t know the difference you have no right working in this institution. To me that is so freeing it just gives us such a liberty to just love and not judge and not feel like it is ours to criticize and correct. I’ve had the Holy Ghost tell me multiple times Jana, when you’re nagging at people or correcting them or telling them what they do they can’t hear my voice. He is so much better at correcting than I am and I’m just so grateful that he takes that responsibility for himself and we just get to love. That is such a loving gift that that is our job. Anyway conference was absolutely fantastic and I loved it so much. How was your week? How is everything going? How are Destiny and Sylvia and everyone else? We’re so grateful for your loving example. We’ve been doing a lot of canning around here. We’ve been putting up salsa tomatoes, and pear sauce, and today we are doing purple grape juice the bubbly for the basement. It’s so fun to can with grandma. She took a fall trying to pick up her laundry and smacked her face into the wall and her entire face is black and blue she looks like she just got out of the ring, but she looks like she won.
