Mine heart is broken in pieces that you had no letter from your Mom! I AM SO SO SO SORRY!
We absolutely loved your letter! Does Elder Faimu need a hammock as well? Have you tried the Terrashield oil for mosquito repellant? That is what it's for. DO YOU NEED ANYTHING? ANYTHING AT ALL?
We are hoping we can skype January 1st, your pday, so the grandparents can be with us. Would that work?
Oh, we loved your letter so very very much. You precious boy. You have such a positive faithful outlook on everything. We miss you fiercely and love you with all our hearts.
It has been a fun, crazy week around here!
- Sometimes I just absolutely amaze myself with how smart I am. Friday morning the Sonntags gave us 5 tickets to the MOTAB Christmas concert. Joseph and Dad didn't want to go, so I called John. I just barely stopped myself, just barely before calling the ticket office and saying "We will have a blind person with us tonight, are there special seats we can get closer to the front so he can see better.....". Yep. Almost called.....
- The concert was amazing. Seth gave money to every street performer there was, and then he and Kaden put their beanie out and started singing. They got $8 in 2 minutes. Saturday night after an awesome 4 hour NAP concert Seth begged me to let him be a street performer again in the snow. He will tell you about that. 32 degrees playing his violin...
- I had a dream I was teaching the gospel to a lady with a baby. I woke myself up talking out loud just going for it, all about the plan of Salvation.
- We got a fun live Christmas tree, so I called Dowdle's and gave it to them, so Joseph strapped it on the Ford and I told him to deliver it to the wrong house, so then they had to go to the neighbors to get it. Hark how the bells. He wrote us an email and said how much he enjoys getting your letters.
- Our food is just funny. Our food groups are Free Bread, Nana's food storage, NPS, and very little from the regular store. Funny family. Right now we are gorging on avocados and pineapple because the Food Bank did a drop off at the park. Funny famiy.
- Annie freaked out when the Motab started playing the same version of Sleigh Ride she played in her orchestra concert. She was so cute in her concert. It was the same night as MR. SilverRush AGAIN so Grandma Raspberry and I went to the concert. Annie Angell looked so beautiful. She wore the blue dress I wore to Coy and Haven's wedding. Way too pretty.
- Everyone else was at Mr. SilverRush. Joseph was super awesome but alas, I guess the judges were more in the mood for someone playing the recorder with his nose than someone nailing the accordian in short shorts.
- Grandma Raspberry and Dad went to Fairview Friday to decorate graves. Seth went with of course. He is such a little cute little man. He was so willing to sacrifice and skip school! So willing to give himself in that way :).
- Grandma Raspberry and Dad attended Coy and Mckay's University Chorale concert at BYU. They said it was breathtakingly magnificent. They got a standing ovation in the middle of their performance! They have this sweet Chinese teacher. It is his first semester teaching and he is just incredible. I had pack meeting and a youth conference meeting so I had to miss.
- Pack meeting was actually super sweet. We delivered soup and bread to the elderly in the neighborhood. Dena Robinson who lives where Mckenzie used to live walked into Grandma's house and started to cry when she saw all the pictures.
- I got kissed at work! It actually happens a lot. They kiss my hands. Max kissed my shoulder. I can't believe I get paid to be there. It is like being in heaven. Sweet Max comes and sits by me and works so hard to say the word "friend", then he smiles.
- Annie is so proud of her basketball jersey! She's on a team that is doing AAU AND jr. Jazz. She is way excited.
- It is so fun to have the doorbell keep ringing and all the Mexico gifts keep coming in, besides all the Christmas joy and everything. It's so fun.
- Seth and I got to go to the Jordan Valley Christmas program! It was put on by the kids in my handicapped seminary. Oh my precious! They did "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Lucy was in a wheelchair and they had recorded her lines. She pushed a button and a machine said her lines for her. Charlie Brown LOVED the microphone and he did the weirdest voices you can imagine super loud when he said his lines just to hear himself. They did little actions. It was so precious. I have one boy that can hear anything and play it on the piano. He played. It was so very precious.
- I did a tiny bit of duo lingo the other night, then I just started thinking of your terrible amazing Spanish and had to laugh. We miss you un chico burrito taza.
- We have just hours to get ready for Mexico! We leave Thursday morning. It's wild as heck around here, but so fun and so awesome.
- I am so so so proud of your Dad! He was asked to sing in church, then Saturday morning they called and said their speaker had cancelled, and would he speak instead? He was not feeling well and almost called and cancelled, but PRAYED INSTEAD. He asked Heavenly Father to help and sustain him. He got up and gave such a beautiful incredible talk about Joseph Smith, and he also shared his faith by testifying of Heavenly Father's sustaining power. The talk really was amazing, very moving. He talked about how he would have none of the things he cherishes if it wasn't for Joseph Smith's sacrifices. So so proud of him. I love your Dad. He talked about how we should celebrate Christmas like no other people because we have so much to celebrate! Living prophets and apostles! We know the nature of God and our nature and who we really are! (At this point he pounded the pulpit as he said "our primary children know more about this than the pope!" It was awesome!) Temple blessings and covenants, gift of the Holy Ghost, eternal families and sealing keys, Priesthood blessings, the Book of Mormon. He talked about using the Priesthood to bless his children and just wept. True Faith! The Book of Mormon!
- Sunday night we had a German Christmas party at Nate and Nic and Adelaide's new house! It was AWESOME! The German Schnitzel was super yummy. One of the best white elephant gifts of the night was a NEW toilet seat with an 8 x 10 of you in the center! Already framed picture of our valiant, handsome, fabulous missionary! Reppin the family! You'll be happy to know it was traded until it was frozen.
