I am so touched that you think of me and throwing up green stuff in the same moment.
Did the ganster use the English operation interface to cheat you?
Did all the ancestors get safely tucked back in their graves after all the festivities? How is the eyebrow coming in? How is the ziptie shoe? How is Li Xiu Qing? How is Ally? Sharon? Zeng Family? Li Tian Sen? Wu Dixiong? How was the clam chowder? ARE YOU LEAVING NANTOU? Do you know yet?
We are so blessed I don't really know what to say or do. My prayers this week have often happened in the middle of the room in the middle of the day, just kneeling and yearning for help in offering a full consecration, completely full. I want so much to give the Lord every single bit of every single thing I could ever be have or do.
Some of the highlights around here include:
- A sunny gorgeous day sitting with Annie, Kaden, Spencer and Dad watching Joseph's soccer game with Herriman and laughing and talking and just feeling the joy of living in the sunshine
- Maverick meetings with our neighborhood trying to come up with a new plan to protect our precious litte utopia. We had meetings Monday morning, Wednesday night, Friday morning, Two on Saturday. It's pretty hoppin' around here.
- A meeting with Erin Terry about doing another play and deciding on the Princess Brides, Bluffdale version, the Musical, it's going to be epic. Seth slept over at Child's for their spring break on Tuesday night.
- Wednesday night we fed the homeless with Ayre's, Sorensons, Childs, Jason and Danai Garn and family, and Kaden Evan's family. It was a great experience. We found out they are only getting about one meal a week served there, so it's a great spot to help. We fed about 250 people.
- Thursday we had a Christmas/Easter/Organization of the church fancy dinner celebration for April 6th. Is that possibly the coolest day of the year? (Right up there with September 18th in my book!) After dinner we had Grandpa Raspberry's truck and I filled it with kids to go help James and Carol pack their trailer to move, and as we were driving out Big Spencer called. He was incredibly inquisitive about our specific plans for the next week, then OFFERED TO FLY ANNIE, SETH AND I OUT TO FLORIDA FOR A WEEK! We had so much going on, but I looked at Seth who had never been on an airplane, and thought of the sweet cousins we never get to see, and I cancelled choir, piano lessons, play practice, Maverick meetings and the hard one was calling the Stokes (Wesley's family) who are coming out to STAY WITH US WHILE WE ARE HERE. That's crazy, but nevertheless, WE ARE IN FLORIDA! RIGHT NOW! We got in last night and attended their ward today. Testimony meeting was very precious. IT IS SO FUN TO SEE OUR COUSINS!
- Friday morning MISSION PREP ROCKED! We had 47 people there! Spen did so great. I love they way that kid speaks and sees the world. His introduction for Grandpa was darling. He loves to say "positive outlook" the way Joseph loves to say "we thank thee for the opportunity". It was so fun. Mission prep, taught Katy Lewis, Tammy Rasmussen has an incredible epiphany about Maverick (moving the light North and closing off our neighborhood), meeting with the city people and Donna McNew, taught Garns, science with Grady, Christian and Seth, shopping for trip, Joseph's soccer game, clean clean clean, and the Saturday morning we got ready for a baby shower at our house, left when it started and we are in FLORIDA!
- We just finished our Palm Sunday Triumphal entry play. We wrote down our consecrations on our palm fronds and laid them down. It's so fun. Were headed to a gater park in the morning, and they are surprising us on Tuesday with something epic. I can't believe how blessed we are. Seth was so darling taking off on his first airplane trip ever. How do we keep our sense of wonder, the wonder we have as a child? Oh, wait, if there is anyone in the world I would ask to teach me about that, IT WOULD BE YOU!
- I met a super cool guy from Hungary on the plane. 100 years ago some of his family left Hungary and came to America, (he called it the Promised Land). They lost track of each other for 100 years. If I have the story right the family in Hungary bought/got an American phone book and called every Gyoruk. They found their family. Now the American Gyoruk's have come to Hungary, and the Hungarians were coming on our flight to America for the first time. I told him about the Mormon interest in family history. Fun times. The second person I met was Wanda. I completely judged her as needing the gospel in her life, and by the end of the flight learned she was on the fourth book in the Work and the Glory and her family all made fun of her because she is a Mormon. She's just a swearin' Mormon. She was so so sweet. We're going to go out to lunch sometime.
- We just got a letter letting us know that you are training again! How glorious! What an opportunity to set the stage for a new missionary for complete, dedicated, joyous and obedient consecrated service. Congratulations!
I love love love you so much. You are such a joy in my life. Precious boy, dear friend, light and joy and gift to me. Have a wonderful week!
Love Mom!
