Hey Mook how is it doing. Sorry I'm late, I had to go tput a person in a wheelcchiar to bed. How is it doing? I'm glad taht you're missionary and YEAH! Today I got to give a talk on you! I'll send it to you.
I'm glad that the Yang family is doing so well. Here's my talk My brother is serving in Taiwan Taichung because he knows is the right thing to do, and he is Mormon, and he wants to. The message that he is sharing is that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is very true.I feel very good about the gospel for example, whenever I sing a hymn or read the scriptures in class, I feel warm. Missions are for many purposes. but the most important purpose is to help people know God loves them, and the true church has been restored to the earth.
Hi my scrumptious love muffin of my life of ridiculous splendor!
I love you so much! We just can't wait for your news. It comes to us like a gorgeous burst of a sunset with 1000 colors, it comes to us like the most delectable dessert ever dined upon, it comes to us as a llama just taking his first step on a Mongolian plain....In June....- The sweet sister missionaries are coming here on Pday for piano lessons! They are so darling. One is from Mongolia and one from the Phillipines! They were giggling in their lesson last week. Way too much fun.
- One night we ended up with Spencer alone, and decided to go look for a pair of shoes at Khols because his had three different colors of duct tape. So, first I start crying because we see these cool pants called joggers that are squenched in at the bottom like sweats. We pulled out a pair and offered to get Spen some. the FIRST WORDS out of that child's mouth were, "We need to get some for Joseph too. Two of the next three sentences he said were about making sure if he was getting them Joseph would have some too. I cried because it was so sweet. Anyhoo, the place was pretty much empty, I threw a shirt at him and told him just to take his off and try on the shirt. No one was around. Fine. THEN HE DID THE SAME THING WITH PANTS. CAN YOU HEAR WHAT I'M SHARING? HE DROPPPED HIS PANTS RIGHT IN THE STORE AND CHANGED! Help me Rhonda!
- Monday night we ate outside. Seth was served brussel sprouts. First he said he lost them. Next he said he accidentally threw the across the yard. Then he said he gagged and acted it out for us. So funny.
- Thursday night Dad and I attended an orientation on how to become a mentor family for incoming refugees through the Catholic Community Services. It was really amazing. There are such beautiful people in the world. Utah is receiving 40-50 a month, mostly women and children. They don't know how to use the toilet, dishwasher, fridge, cross the street or speak English at all in most cases. We're excited to get involved. They told a story about two Somalian women who were taught which bathroom to go in (skirts, girls, pants boys). The next morning they were an hour late to a job interview. They finally got a hold of them and they were standing on the street corner because the white walking sign was pants, not a skirt, so they thought they couldn't cross the street.
- Joseph was sorting his clothes and let Seth look through. Everything he picked up he'd say, "I'm going for Coy, is this Coy?" I guess he wants to dress like Coy. Maybe he doesn't want to wear Mothers are Just Angels in Disguise shirts because his mother makes him eat brussel sprouts. :).
- Friday was a super fun Nap concert. My kids rocked you're never fully dressed without a smile and Man in the Mirror from MJ himself.
- Saturday was amazing. our Stake did a day of service and did feminine hygeine supplies for girls in Africa, food and clothes for refugees and senior service in our stake. Marcia Slichta and I were in charge of the Information booth about other places to serve in our community. IT WAS SO FUN TO LEARN ABOUT. Suzy Evans makes sleeping mats for the homeless out of walmart sacks. We had a hugemongous handout with tons of ways to serve. Awesome.
- Today was the primary program. Priceless. Precious. I cried when they sang Gethsemane with sign language.
Couldn't love you more. I wish you could hear Seth try to pronounce the prayer list of your investigators and how to remember them. (huang with one arm, etc.) So precious.
I want to learn more and more about living by the Spirit. The huge yummy prize I want so bad is to feel the Spirit all the time. I want to be a "polished arrow in the quiver of the Lord) Joseph Smith.
So proud of you. It's NIc's birthday if you want to drop a super quick line.
