Hi scrumptious!

I'm sure you are heartbroken, but you missed
DEAD CHICKEN WEEK!   First of all, four skunks ate all of the Terry's chickens but two, and Tim was trying to chase the two back in their cage, but they wouldn't go, because it smelled like skunk, and as he was chasing one of them it ran into the road and GOT HIT BY A CAR!  Oops! And Nic of the Nic and Nate group started a little job at North Star and she was going to school and she saw the dead chicken in the road on the way to school, and we saw it, and everyone saw it.
THEN, Grandpa Ruel had to kill the rooster in our coop because it was attacking the kids, only he didn't kill it dead enough and it scratched up his arms. Then he killed it all the way dead, or it was just nerves, who knows.  Sorry you missed It.

We did the play this week! It was so stinking cute! We did the play of Muppet Treasure Island. Seth was Jim Hawkins and Annie was Kermit. You'll never see this one coming, but Grady was Gonzo.  It was super fun.  We performed in Erin Terry's backyard with a big background she painted on the Sport's court and a big stage we built out of Laura's flats. You should have seen Seth up on the bench singing "Let danger call my name! I'll put my courage to the test!" IT WAS SO FUN!
We'll send pics.

Most of our week was that.

We went to fantastic homecoming today, Cody Castleton, home from Russia.  Two weeks ago, Putin decided no missionaries were allowed in Russia, so now they are called "volunteers" and they can not proselyte or invite, they can only teach if the members invite their friends.  Huge change. He told the sweetest sweetest story of this man who bowed his head to pray and was silent for two minutes, then with so much emotion said he had felt God's love for the first time and he knew he was forgiven. Cody was so emotional when he was telling that story.  That 's what it's all about isn't it, helping people understand that God knows them, loves them, cares.

We had a fun Arrow of Light Ceremony for Logan on Wednesday. At the end his leaders, grandparents, and his Mom told him how much they loved him. He cried.

Seth's a crazy lunatic. He's not wearing a shirt, he's wearing pajamas with a huge hole in the buns chasing Spencer's car

Interestingly, Cody thinks the Russian change will actually help, and things will be better. The members will have to talk to their friends for the work to move forward.

It is a lot more effective as members working, but It has definitely got to be a shock!
