Hi Scrumptious Darling face love of my life. You have brought so much joy in my life. Being in your presence is such a gift to me.  I feel so blessed to have you. You have been one of the  greatest gifts Heavenly Father has ever given me.
(that was accidentally in the middle of Grandma's letter).

Oh, Mook, you don't know how much good you do. Your light shines all over the world. Your joy, your love of the Lord and enthusiasm for the work is so exquisitely bright and joyous. You are like President Uchtdorf

Mckay, How are you? How is your heart? How are you doing? How is training going?  What is Elder Wightman's personality like? Did Dong Dixiong's baptism happen?  We're anxious for every bit of news about everyone.  Would you mind asking Elder Wightman if we can read his weekly letters? Can he put us/me on his email list?

A few of us wrote to Elder Hongvilai today. I hope he gets another companion who is as loving, helpful, compassionate and Christlike as you have been.  I love that story about when he was having a down day and you sat down and wrote a list of all the great things about being a missionary.

You yummy boy.  Here are our happenings:

  • Muppet Treasure Island is going strong.  Seth as Jim Hawkins is so cute, so so cute.  He's adopted an English accent all on his own. Annies cute as Kermie
  • Spen and Joseph have one more week til highschool. Joseph is highschool? WEIRDNESS!
  • Joseph had such an amazing experience at Wind Rivers, and Spen is headed to Rasmussen Lakes this weekend for camp.
  • We're getting fresh tomatoes from the garden, and squash, and Armenian cucumbers.
  • Olympics are on! Michael Phelps won 22 gold medals, most decorated Olympian ever. There are some amazing gymnasts, too. It's been fun.
  • The redneck shindig fall reunion soshal is next week.  The hot tub truck is coming back for more.
  • Friday we helped Angie move into her new house! It is BEAUTIFUL! It's right under the Y. You and Scott will be able to run up the hill to her house! HOW FUN! You can date there, they have gorgeous decks overlooking all of Provo.  Perfect candlelight dinner spots. You can see 3 temples and all of BYU.
  • Seth picked YOU up, the cardboard cutout of you. I was standing in the kitchen and all of a sudden YOU came around the corner. My brain is just slow enough that I just SCREAMED because you were standing there. It was so so funny.   You are now standing in the family room looking over us all as we try very hard to look over each other.
  • Spen has been going through an interesting time lately. He's feeling kind of crazy to go adventure or go do and try something different and real. Working full time all summer has been hard, it has taught him that painting all day is not what he wants to do. He wants to do something more creative, self-driven, building, making, creating. He also wants to jump on a bike and go camping for 3 days and read the scriptures. He's so precious.
  • Do you have any highschool advice for Joseph? I can't believe he's starting highschool.
I love you and miss you so much. I am so grateful for your light, your wonder, your splendor. You are my beloved Son. I cherish you.

Love, Your Mom.
