We began this morning with that sweet story about Jeremy's Egg, the little handicapped boy who brought back his plastic egg empty to symbolize the resurrection. We read and sang and prayed and rejoiced in the Savior's precious gifts to us.
Sunday night we drew our palm leaves and laid down our sins and devotions and writing them on the palm leaves. Monday night we talked about the cleansing of the Temple and built temples from marshmellows and wrote down what we need to cleanse from our own life.Tuesday we told the parables. Thursday on Atonement day we delivered flowers to all the widows and watched None Were With Him. We are going to have all the grandparents and Childs and Nic, Nate and Jen down for Jerusalem dinner Monday night for family night.
How can anything we do even approach the majesty of the Savior's gifts? How can we put into words, psalms and songs that ever capture the tiniest bit of the splendor and glory and love that is the Atonement? Oh I wish I was more to match the majesty of the message! I want you to know, Elder Christensen, that everything I treasure I have and hope for because of the Savior Jesus Christ. I love the Savior Jesus Christ, and testify humbly to you of his infinite and intimate love in my life.
I am so excited for primary today. We are going to have three rooms, one will be the last supper, one the Garden and then the resurrection through the Bible video. The apostles are going to take us through and talk about each thing. We will sing in each room. GUESS WHAT! ERIN TERRY IS MY COUNSELOR IN PRIMARY! I'm the luckiest girl in the state of Texas!
We missed you so much this morning. Spen put a stapler, a candle and some dental floss in his Easter basket and we laughed and missed our Mookie.
We are all fasting for Sandy today, pleading with Heavenly Father to open the windows of heaven and pour his blessings out upon this precious recent convert.
This morning a big huge egg was in our Family room. The kids opened it and found 6 baby chicks! They are so cute. Two yellow, two black and two speckled and decorated like peacocks. We will have a chicken coop at Grandma Jan's.
Funniest night ever on Thursday. G and G Jello were out of town so Jeni has been sleeping over. WE went to get her things and we were so scared because someone said someone was walking around the house. We were gathering her things and spooking ourselves to death when Chandler and Courtney doorbell ditched and ran around the house looking in the windows. We were completely freaked out. When we finally ran out they were there. Oh my glories, oh my stars. We came home and talked about Lover's Lane night. We also did chin art and had so so much fun. Chandler was saying how many fun memories he has at our house.
Yesterday the Women's Conference was so absolutely glorious. They started a new initiative and asked us to take care of the refugees of the world. It is called "I was a stranger". It was beautiful. The choir was heavily composed of refugees. Beautiful beautiful night.
I love you so much. Happy Easter!!I was able to Bear My Testimony today and primary to the little kids. I said Micah, or Vonnor pretend you told a lie and somebody said to you well you're a sinner now and you can never go home. You will never see your family again. It was a little inspiration to approach it all that way and it was just so sweet.
