How is everything? Any news on a location for English class? We fasted for that today. We are so excited for all of your news! Here's ours:
Monday, Soldier Hollow Cross Country skiing. We took the Sorensens with us, and they want to come with us when we travel the world. We had a blast. It was sunny, warm, exquisitely beautiful, we got to ski the Olympic trail. Majestic. Ivun Sorensen served in Korea and Heidi in the Phillipines. They both saw such poverty. Ivun said the problem with the world today is that the kids are mentoring each other instead of being mentored spending the entire day working alongside their parents, as happened 100 years ago. I was so proud of Spen. Chuck Wilson couldn't go home teaching, so he got seed packets and took Joseph, typed up a scripture from Alma 32 and took things around to his families. He is so cute.
Primary was hilarious. We are talking about prophets in March. Today there were a lot of interesting guesses. James Monroe, Obama, Harry Bee Lee, Herber G. Grant, John Smith, and George Washington! Your primary babies are still at it!
It was our last choir practice for Nate's concert, and a B-ball game for Spen. Sweet Coy took the rest of the kids to Fongo Bongo for a Leap Year party. Coy is cute at being perfect. Joseph started soccer try outs on Monday.
Spen went ice skating Tuesday with young mens and Annie had an awesome missionary activity. She is so darling. I went out to eat with Toni and Trish because TONI AND WALLY SOLD THEIR HOUSE AND THEY ARE MOVING! By by Monster Trucks. I am so heartbroken to part with Toni. She has been such a sweet friend and incredibly amazing as the Primary secretary.
Dad and I ran away together to Fairview thanks to the generous love and devotion of glorious Aunt Jeni. She took care here. Dad and I talked for 10 hours at least. We took a ride past the upper Fairview Cemetery out to a field and sat in total silence, the sun shining on the white untouched snow. We watched two movies, an old Jimmy Steward classic and War Room, which is a new movie from the guys who made Fireproof, Couragous, Facing the Giants, and a few more super great movies. It is AMAZING!!! It is about marriage, and it's about prayer, and it's about fighting right. The movie teaches us to fight Satan instead of each other. It is SUPER GREAT!!! We just had so much fun talking about our kids. We talked about Coy and Haven, we tallked about Mook the missionary, Spen the darling cute boy who is trying to make it through Pride and Prejudice, his jazz band music and the ACT this week, Joseph who is a big phat cute dangus, Annie who is so darling with Chloe and young women's you can't believe it, and Seth who is so yummy there are no words. It was so precious to have time together. Cute Grandma and Grandpa Raspberry left us a $20 and told us to go out to Mount Pleasant for Mexican food. SO SO SO FUN!
Friday Seth and I went on a special date to the Provo City Temple Openhouse. That kid is so precious. That temple is gorgeous. It looks like a mideval castle. It was so fun to have a date with my little man.
Saturday morning Lukus Terry was baptized! It was so so precious. Saturday night was a super awesome NAP concert at North Star. Your siblings rocked it. Annie's voice is getting SO good. Joseph is in 4 groups, and Seth did a hair band tribute with ltite drummers and swanked some 50's and MJ with kids choir.
Today John asked Jeni to the Jazz Band Silverwolf Spring Formal, which they are inviting parents uncles aunts and cousins to. I'll send you a picture of the asking.
Thursday night we found out JOSEPH MADE THE JV SOCCER TEAM AT RIVERTON HIGH! IT IS SO FREAKIN AWESOME! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?????
That is our big news this week!!!!
The kids did so great without us! They had so much fun with Jen. I love her so much.
