April 29, 2021

(no subject) Jana Christensen Mon, Apr 26, 2021, 8:37 AM to Joseph Good morning my beautiful wonderful son. I love you so very much. I love Mondays. Most of the world makes jokes about my days but it’s my favorite because of you. How’s everything? How was your week? How was your heart? How are things going? How are the lessons? Who have you been able to teach this week? How can we help you? Coy and Lydia both graduated this week! “Ate some sherbet ice cream while he was working and glanced over when his picture crossed the screen of the online graduation ceremony. Lydia was also working but they are in Costa Rica celebrating. They came up with their friends Friday night before they left and they’re really fun Friends and I think they’re gonna have a lot of fun. They left at midnight on Friday night. I waited all week to hear from seminary well since Thursday and then Friday and finally got a email on Friday that said they are not ready to tell us yet. I should hear sometime this week. I have just three days of school left and then finals. It’s really interesting to be right here at the finish line and not know exactly what that is going to look like. I wonder if I’m not going to get seminary because all of these thoughts have started coming to me about how I could build my business of the youth theater and be wildly successful and only worked a couple of hours a day instead of eight hours a day. I wonder if that’s what is going to happen. Where does the Lord want a weird old lady like me? I do know for sure that I want to sign up for his Battallion and serve In whatever regiment, squadron, platoon, or place he wants me to serve. “There must be somewhere a lowly place in earth’s harvest fields so wide, where I may labor for life’s short day for Jesus the crucified.” I have such news. Such incredible news. Spencer and Rachel are moving here! They are putting their house on the market and buying a house in Bluffdale! I just cannot believe it. If someone has hacked me down and said in three years time Nate and Jen will build a house next to you and Spencer and Rachel will be living in Bluffdale I never would’ve believed it.A lot of the reason is Ella. She needs good friends and wants to go to Riverton with Annie so you know I don’t think it’s about Rachel really wants to, but she’s doing it for her daughter which is very Christlike and beautiful. Spencer is so excited. Isn’t that just amazing? It is really a marathon to finish school and to Compost and to do seminary and try to plan youth conference. I just want to tell you about all of the love and support. The hunts have brought meals to us for almost 2 weeks straight. My mom and dad and Jeni have been over here constantly. They’ve been honestly helping me with my homework and Grandma Jan has been down here washing dishes and folding all of our laundry for two weeks straight. Everyone is helping us so much to get mama through school. I often feel that if everyone were as loved as I am the whole world would be healed. We are almost there and within a week and a half I will be in the compost truck driving through and picking up my diploma :-)!. Friday night we had Leslie and Lizzie over for a girls night because all of the boys are out of town. We planted seeds and it was super fun. Eric Neilson opened his mission call last night! He’s going to Columbia! Nate’s house is getting insulation, sheetrock, and the outside put on over the next two weeks. It is going to be transformed. I want to become an absolute freaking expert on the saviors gifts . I think there is so much redemptive love there that many of us don’t understand like the law of compensation. Seth has had a very hard week. He did not get SBO . But he is sure cute in the play and a lot of people have come to see him. He’s super sad about SBO if you have time to talk to him about it or email him about it.
