Hello to Elda Fiji and Elda Gygi!!!

To Elder Gygi,
I wish we could make a big giant pizza for you to match your big giant heart! We feel your humility, love and enthusiasm in your sweet words.  Thank you thank you for being a companion to Elda Christensen when the family who loves him dearly is on the other side of the world! We pray for you every day!  We'd love to read your weekly emails if you want to share them with us! We live for every word we hear from you!
Love, The Christensen Family!

Spenca!!!  How is my sweet boy?  New area, new companion, new responsibilities, same sweetheart of a missionary that we love with all of our hearts. HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

I had the sacred and precious privilege of spending all day yesterday with an apostle of Jesus Christ, Elder Quinton Cook. It was so sacred!  He invited us to focus on the SAVIOR and on the JOY OF REDEEMING GRACE in all that we do!  He said that the new church schedule is so "that our church members might have enduring gospel joy through home centered study".  He was so sweet. It just felt like a big invitation to come and feast on the joy of all of it.  God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved!  YEA!!  I feel that so much from your letters!  It is joy, it is all joy!

He also said multiple times "We never ever give up on anybody, we just keep extending our love and witness and the Savior's love in every way we can and inviting them to come unto Him.

Spencer, it was so sacred. Elder Cook had a priest and laurel devotional and at the end he said that though they often keep their sacred experiences very sacred, he felt to share with the youth that he knows the Lord's voice, and He knows the Lord's face.  The Spirit was so strong in that room it was incredible.  Just like Nephi, Jacob and so many others, Elder Cook the prophet, seer and revelator has seen his Redeemer.

The Christensen family is drenched in blessings, wallowing in them like little piggies in the mud. Here are some highlights.

  • I don't know if we'll ever beat this one.  Preview attachment IMG-7388
  • Seth wrote up a Birthday/Christmas list.  It simply says "dog or trained falcon".  I love that kid. He rocks my world.
  • Seth is growing so much right now.  He's been making himself two tuna fish sandwiches for snacks with TWO FULL CANS OF TUNA!
  • I cried when your little sister walked by my piano lessons wearing three-inch gold high heels to go to her ballroom dance lessons.  MY BABY'S ALL GROWN UP AND SAVIN' CHINA!!
  • Such a fun week with 6 absolutely darling boys doing their backstreet boys, "Front Road" boys "I'll Donate That Way" for the Silverrush CD.  I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! They practiced over here and it was just so darling to hear them trying to hit the notes, figure out the harmonies and who would sing what part.  So so cute. I'll send you the lyrics. They are awesome.
  • I'm sure Annie told you her fun news, but she is FIRST CHAIR IN REGION!!  40 cellos and she couldn't find her name at Honors Orchestra..she asked the teacher and he led her to the first chair! She said she felt terrified, but she is doing AWESOME!  So fun.
  • Sweet Joseph came over to the church Friday to help Seth with basketball. He and Tommy and Ren Nielsen are on a Jr. Jazz team...SO CUTE!
  • Seth got his Arrow of Light this week! I'm so grateful for scout leaders and their love for the boys.
