SECOND: Had so much fun last week with Stuart Brown's mother and Elder Banz's mother, who is Scott's friend, and aunt Kristy on the phone. The good news is
WE GOT YOU A HOUSE! It is so AWESOME! It is a HOUSE for the 4 of you! It's fabulous! It is associated with Campus Plaza, so you get to share all of the amenities. Also, guess who else I've been talking to all week helping to get someone else you may now into Campus Plaza...KIRSTEN!
It's all a go! It is freakin awesome! If we were ten minutes later we would not have gotten it, but we all went down early and met up and THE MIRACLE HAPPENED!
Doing fabulously here! Fed the homeless Wednesday, about 300 people, it was very humbling. Some of us witnessed some child abuse that broke our hearts, a little girl getting her hair pulled. It was hard. We had the Ayre's, Terry's, Rollers, Bonds, Grandma Jan and us, Christy Garner and Teri Summers sent soup.
Grandma Jan couldn't find a hair net so she wore her black and white shower cap with the little pink bow. We went straight to relief society and she left it on. I love my life.
We've been at the hospital a lot today with James and Carol.
I took Annie, Carli and Abby to the Sleeping Beauty Ballet. It was a little too much culture :).
We had fun shoppping for pants and shirts for the sweethearts dance in the same corner of JCPenney where we bought your hipster brown suit. Remember? It was fun.
Annie took a personal day home from school this week. It was fun. Seth said "Mom, what are your dreams, I mean, I know you want a driving couch, but what else?"
YOUR BROTHER'S GOT THEIR HAIRS CUT! THEY LOOK AWESOME! Joseph wants to be like you so much he just didn't want to cut it at all. He just barely got to where he could put it in his mouth :).
I've been working super hard putting the house all back together and organizing and simplifying, we look GREAT! RootsTech and Little Philmont yesterday. I heard the most amazing story I want to share with you. Remember was it Erin Mcmullin, McDonald's girl? Her family just got back from Paraguay. I was so privileged to hear wonderful President McMullin speak yesterday. There were native Indians in his mission, a high percentage of them are members of the church. They called him and explained that the river between Paraguay and Argentina that borders their village was rising, and in a few days they would be an island and inaccessible. They said they didn't have enough food or medicine, and said they would have to be there before Tuesday morning or it would be too late. He took is AP's and the missionaries serving in that area and drove the 20 hours or something to them. They approached and looked at the village over 3 km of water. They were too late. President Mcmullin's heart dropped. He prayed and Heavenly Father told him to look at his missionaries. He prompted him that they were prepared scouts. They put backpacks on and hiked through 3 miles of running river to the village, brought back every able bodied person and they hand carried all their supplies back. IT WAS AWESOME! His talk was so filled with the spirit.
