My precious boy,

As I sat this morning reading the scriptures and preparing for the sacrament I thought how much I want to purge my soul any casualness where the Savior is concerned. One of the sins that most disgusts me in myself if I ever act toward the gifts of atoning grace with anything less than the most profound love and gratitude. I sin here a lot by focusing on the sins instead of the Savior. Most of my sins have something to do with not thinking about, remembering, celebrating or being grateful enough for the Savior.  Someone who spent a lot of their lifetime trying to forgive an abusive father finally came to realize that she needed her own repentance to heal. For what and from what? I thought you'd never ask. The sin she finally realized that was holding her back is NOT LOVING ENOUGH.  I think this is profound. How many sins are not loving enough? The Savior marked the path and showed the way and purchased us with a price so infinitely loving, and anytime we cheapen that price we in some way casualize the atoning grace, in other words, trade the price he set in infinite love for a bargain price set in anger and unforgiveness, or a thousand other ways we crucify Christ afresh and don't appreciate in full measure what He has done for us.  Thoughts.

i want to love Him fully in every thought word act deed and breath, and never casualize or trivialize the gifts He offers to us. Thank you for teaching me so much about this.Hi you beautiful sweet incredible amazing darling scrumptious delectable fabulous marvelous dazzling delightful positive dedicated consecrated prince of Heaven and prince of my heart!

So anxious for all your news!

Fabulous here:

  • I have had the incredible privilege of teaching the sister missionaries piano lessons on their P-day.  They are SO precious.  Sister Chinbold from Mongolia is one of the happiest people I have ever known.  Her darling companion Sister Calibalo is from the Phillipines. I think I told you that. Anyway, they are so so precious. They are trying so hard to grasp it all. They took our little keyboard home this week and they were so excited that they got permission to practice of they get up early.  We feed them lunch, too, and it is so fun.
  • John is teaching Seth Braille as part of homeschool.  It is so precious. He brought his braille typewriter down and Seth knows enough now to write his name.
  • WE HAVE A MOUSE IN OUR HOUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS! AARRGGGHH.  We saw it in our bedroom. If you dont' get any letters next week, I just wanted you to know what happened.
  • Coy had 10 friends here last night for a How to Host a Murder party. Super super fun.
  • You'd be so proud of Joseph hosting his first highschool party.  They rocked it, ghost in the graveyard, Cat and the Canary with Bob Hope, food, 16 people.  YES!
  • The kids are litttle piles of misery not sure if they will be able to celebrate Halloween tomorrow. Grandma Raspberry is in Texas. How can we possibly....?   No Sloppy joes.....? What?  The center of their universe has shifted slightly to the dark side.
  • We cleaned the garage without you. Somehow we made it through.  How, I'll never know.
  • It was Wesley's birthday this week. He is doing great. He was going to the temple!
  • Annie gave such an amazing FHE lesson. The power of the scriptures is so unspeakable.  It settled on us. There were tears. Beautiful truths. Thank you for sharing them.
  • Annie is playing real songs on her cello now.
  • Joseph has turned into a clean freak.
  • The fall weather here has been so incredibley beautiful . Wednesday we packed up dinner and headed to the park. Spen and Joseph were playing soccer and spencer slid across the grass into the ball with an arm behind his head like a beauty queen.
  • JOEY SUMMER'S HOMECOMING WAS TODAY! He has been home since Wednesday! He looks GREAT and the homecoming was awesome. I love when they come home and their talks are all about the people.
