HOW HAS YOUR WEEK BEEN? We want every scrumptious detail.
I feel like I should tell you something. Sometimes I would watch Star Trek on the tiny silver tv when I first got married. Thank you. I feel much better now.
WE MISS YOU! We're just over here in a golden springtime with popcorn popping on the apricot tree doing what we do in the springtime when all the world is green. Our lives are just as llama free as they were a week ago. Here are a few fun things to share:
- COY'S ENGAGED! OH MY HECK! Your conditions are clear, and repeated often. First born child named Mckay, and a cardboard cutout that shows your muscles ripping through your suit. I added that last part. No extra charge. How are you feeling about all this? They are very cute and trying so hard to do everything right. They have a sweet relationship. We promise the cardboard cutout. We'll use one of your mission pictures unless you tell us differently. Any preferences? Draper Temple, cheesecake bar, dancing, rustic, navy and beige and lime green, he's wearing his three piece blue suit, and HERE WE GO!!! I do want to know all your feelings. Coy is taking calc and a writing class this Spring, then taking summer off and working full time. They plan to move down to Provo, maybe to married student housing. THE WEDDING IS JULY 9TH, DRAPER TEMPLE, 2:00. Maybe we should just do it in Taipei....
- We took the old greenhouses down in the back and cleaned up so much stuff it was crazy. Seth was so distraught that we were taking the greenhouses down that he sat in the truck crying and refused to help. "If I was broken, would you take me to the dump? You are throwing them away just because they are broken and we can't use them, what about all the memories?" Finally, on day 2, his best efforts clearly futile, he insisted on a funeral. He gave the eulogy. "Greenhouses, I know you've done nothing the last few years, but you have poured your love into our yard. We thank you. Amen."
- Spen asked Addy on her first date, she turns 16 Wednesday. "I'm tired of waiting" on a big tire, and some other road and tire puns. We came home from church and there is a four wheeler on our porch. We just hope we get to keep it! :). I guess it's sabbath appropriate because it has a tie on it! Remember last year, Addy's birthday, with the plaid jackets, Addy, Addy, Addy.....
- Sunday night Dad's bday was amazing. I am so grateful that people stayed for over an hour and just built him up.
- Monday night we had an awesome lesson on patriarchal blessings. We are working on the challenge you gave us. I will cherish Spencer's sweet testimony that night about his blessing and the gospel forever. He is so awesome.
- Tuesday Annie had end of year testing with K12. Remember that? Oh, you were such a yummy little homeschool boy in your Legoland hat and your orange button up shirt. You were SUCH A JOY TO RAISE. I thank heaven every day that you are mine.
- Joseph went to his first soccer team dinner Tuesday night. He is really cute. Friday's soccer game was INCREDIBLY COOL AMAZING! He had some great passes, set-ups, blocks, and drain bamage konks on the head.
- Seth wants a dog or pygmy goats so bad. He begs, talks, gets dog books from the library, on and on and on. Oh, that boy is so yummy. If you were here I know you would act like a dog and let him pull you around on a leash. You are that kind of brother, that kind of friend.
- Wednesday arena scheduling opened at 4 for your little hair brother Joseph to sign up for HIGH SCHOOL! He got most of the classes he wanted. Funny thing. AS OF NOW, Joseph and Spencer are in the same sophomore health class. Joseph is thinking of transfering out and leaving Spence in there just because it's some sort of family tradition.
- Annie spent two hours making soup for the widows all by herself on Thursday. It was so sweet. She is an amazing little woman She works on personal progress 16-20 hours a week. She tends Chloe so patiently and lovingly, like she is her mom.
- We had a sweet moment Thursday. Haven, Coy, Dad and Grandma Raspberry went shopping together and found a wedding ring for Haven! It was so fun for Grandma to be a part.
- Spen has stirrings of the soul. He talks to me every single day about whether or not to go to his senior year or just learn himself. You can get in byu with a ged and a good act score. He feels like he's kind of done everything he wants to do in highschool, and he spends so much time trying to please everyone. (He does devote most of his time trying to be meet every expectation). Interesting thoughts. Maybe he'll just get his GED and we'll come live in Taiwan!
- Joseph got a crazy text from a girl telling him how cute he is. He really is, and when he figures that out, we are in trouble.
- Grandpa Ruel has worked SO HARD in our yard. Guess what, we have an irrigation gate! US! After all these years! It's downright professional, too. We'll send pics.
- At the Brigadoon cast party everyone was teasing Coy and Haven to death. Someone turned the lights on in the middle of the movie and someone else yelled, "Turn the lights off or Coy and Haven can't snuggle!"
- Grandpa Jello is digging a room UNDER the playroom. They are getting ready to go on a mission.
- Dad borrowed Grandpa Raspberry's chainsaw and had at it in our front yard. The pine tree puffs are gone along with a mountain of other things. He had so much fun.
- Joseph was really a champ on Friday and Saturday. He came and helped Grandpa, Nate and I dig earth out of under Grandpa's house. We feel just like prisoners trying to escape. It was so fun. Saturday he worked so hard and so long, then Jake invited him to the temple and he went. He is rocking it. I think I told you about his talk in church. He was amazing. The kid is really gifted. He became emotional bearing his testimony. It was very precious.
- We're buying raw cows milk from the polygamists, and I went dumpster diving for carpet pieces and got another load of tires from Randy's. What percent redneck are we?
- We laughed so hard at dinner tonight. We were talking about how our family isn't ready to have a new person at dinner because we can't control our potty jokes. The boys were talking about how Coy woudl be laughing and Haven wouldn't, and then started teasing Coy about trying to kiss her (which they do constantly) while he was laughing, and started showing what that would look like. We have a crazy family. I hope she knows what she's doing. We certainly don't know what we are going.
- Today sharing time was about the restoration of the fulness. I used Grandpa Jello's paper cups for the foundation of the church lesson and the Wilford Woodruff movie. I love his story.
- We are having a lip sync contest and we are going to enter Gladys Knight and the Pips or jimmy oh jimmy don't listen to them...so fun.
- Tonight the ysa missionaries came here. One of them needed to do their Mother's Day call today! Oh, I got so EXCITED!!!
- What are your hopes and dreams for the phone call? What would be best for you, how do you think it would be best?
Mckay, it is fast and testimony day. I love this church so much, and I know it is God's true church here on the earth, with glorious and endless facets of truth. I love it and I'm so so humbled to be a art. How can I ever ever ever show my gratitude? This is God's true church upon the face of the earth and I intend to give my life for it, for Him. I love you sweet boy, SO MUCH. We love and miss you more than words can say. I was just looking at Guiren at Google Earth, hoping to see you waving. I sure love that we can connect so instantly across the miles. You are my real live rescue hero, working for the Captian greatest Rescue Hero of all Time! I love you forever! Mom
