How are you? How is Elder Hongvilla? We are praying so much for him.
We just enjoyed a fun evening listening to missionary stories and advice. Dallin, Tyler and Spencer sat up front in their white shirts, listening.
Here are some highlights:
Evan: Don't judge your mission by baptisms. Choose the right measure of success. He suggested to base your mission success on how much you try, the effort you put in, not on baptisms.
Dad: You are going to love the people so much. You will feel possessive of them because you will love them so much.
Jon: You are doing what you are doing because you are representing the Savior. You are of the church, not for the church, you ARE the church. In your mission call you are called to labor in ________________, but you are called to LABOR.
Jen: Laboring is a privilege, it as an absolute privilege to work for the Lord. She said, "if you talk to 70 people one day, thank the Lord that you were able to talk to 70 people, even if no one listened."
Grandpa Jello: Write the mothers of your companion's parents and tell them what wonderful missionaries they are. Listen to promptings.
Dad: Have fun, feel the joy of everything.
Nate: Choose to Believe, Choose to Acheive, Choose to Enjoy. He talked about the last one, LOVE EVERY DAY OF IT. SHARE WHO YOU ARE. SHARE YOUR TESTIMONY. DON'T TURN INTO A ROBOT. BRING EVERYTHING ABOUT WHO YOU ARE TO THE MISSION FIELD.
Big Spen: Spirit directed, being guided by the Spirit, he told a story about seeking where to tract and being directly led to someon named Deloris. . He talked about loving the people and the place. He said it should hurt to take off the badge. How beautiful are the waters of Mormon, how beautiful is the place you come to know the Savior by serving Him.
Aunt Nic: SO BEAUTIFUL! She talked about it all from the other end, how she would feel dead and have no light if she hadn't found the gospel. She said "Thank you for being willing to serve a mission and find people like me." the Spirit flooded. We wept.
Family reunion 3 days this week, it was AWESOME. Just hung out, games, time, talking, lip sync contest. We had so much fun. We stayed at a cabin in Heber designed to sleep 60 people. IT ROCKED!
Coy and Haven came with and they were so awesome.
I'll write you along sup er long letter with all the news and all your cousins and pics and all.
Please advise me on what your cute brothers, Spen and Joseph should do with their summer....mission prep advice please....
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
