How is your head? Do you have any leftover headaches from the earthquake? Do you have any leftover sickness from last week? How is every tiny part of everything about you and your life and everything?
I want to make sure I got the story right about the church. The building you met in originally was condemned after the earthquake? Right?
How is Mr. Boulder? How are your new investigators?
Oh we love you so much!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VALENTINE"S PACKAGE!! I love love love my valentine. You are the sweetest yummiest. I love the picture of us holding hands. We love all your cute things. How long was the license plate on the side of the road before you picked it up, like the shirt before it?
Yesterday was the first day that has really felt like spring. The kids went nuts. Out came the rollerblades, the mat on grass, kids on the tramp. We cleaned the garage (so sorry you missed it) and cleaned up all this yucky stuff and burned it all! Spencer and Joseph, the pyrotechnics, burned for a couple of hours. It was so so so fun to be out in the sun. Life is so delicious. This world is so beautiful.
Spen is busted. I saw his Sweethearts date in the hall at church and told her how excited we are to get the pictures and she said Spen got them a week ago and he "forgot" to show them to us. so busted. so darling. In so much trouble.
Seth looked super handsome in his little suit today. He is so yummy. Coy spoke in church today about "preparing for temple marriage". He was awesome. Brother Lindsay was the high council speaker. He was awesome awesome. He was baptized at 21. He said once a year they have hot water heater issues for the baptisms. Last time it happened they didn't think they could fix it in time, so Bro. Lindsay started calling bishops. They called their baptismal candidates and told them the water might be cold. Not one of them wanted to postpone their baptism. One little girl said "I'm not scared, Daddy, are you scared?". So sweet.
Coy worked his first full shift at the oh no game house. 12 hours, way more than a full day. One man, the oh no guy, Gary is not verbal. He's like a 2 year old. He has diapers. One is a down syndrome man. One is from Guatemala. He will have a lot of interesting experiences, but how fun to serve and love and help Heavenly Father's precious children and get paid for it.
Spen's gig Tuesday night was SKETCH. SUPER SKETCH. There were some things being smoked that were not cigarettes. It was a converted garage downtown. Fun group of Heavenly FAther's children. THE BOYS ABSOLUTELY ROCKED IT. A 9 song set of ALL ORIGINAL MUSIC. They are really getting good. They are good at stopping, waiting for a beat together, coming back in and twicing it up, absolutely rocked it. It was pretty awesome.
We had priesthood preview today for a lot of your little primary chorister subjects. Micah Robertson, Connor Pedersen, Cael Sherwood, Tucker Terry. They will all receive the Priesthood this year. Time goes on.
We had so much fun on Wednesday! Wednesday is our family history day, and Grandma Jan found her first name. Remember the story of the pioneer ancestor who prayed and found a quarter in the road to buy some sugar for his wife? Well her brother's wife had no work done at all, and they had not been sealed. She was so excited.
We fasted for Luke Beckstrand today, he's pretty sick, meaning, not well. Lara is over tonight. She's crazy about Spencer. She doesn't want him to go on a mission.
Annie is such a little love. She has done probably 7 hours of personal progress this week. She is a little beehive on fire.
Spen and JDogs had a super fun church ball game on Saturday. Joseph had points, two threes. They both did super well, and it was so intense.
Friday was funny. Four hours of conversation about certainty and doubt. He was supposed to write a practice essay for AP LIt, just a personal response. It took us forever. Coy, Mom, Spen, Dad talked for four hours before he wrote anything. I contended that certainty must be attached to truth, otherwise the subject is simply convinced, they contended that certainty is a state of mind. It was pretty entertaining.
This week Dad and I get to have a neat experience. We get to be the escorts for James and Carol Jacobs as they receive their endowments and are SEALED IN THE TEMPLE!! That happens Wednesday. It will be precious.
I'm reading a super fun book about a family who spent a year doing service all around the world. Right now they are in the rainforest in Costa Rica. We are really truly honest to squash considering doing the same thing for a few months. Dad is super duper convinced that he woudl feel better in a tropical climate. We can collect disability anywhere probably, working on the details, but if they knew it was for health reasons.....anyway, we may do something crazy. The boys may take a semester off.
Seth made no bakes today. He is really really growing up. He is so stinkin yuuuuummmy.
Joseph is doing awesome. He is trying out for the water polo team this week. He needs something cool to break, something cool to happen. Maybe this is it. Think of him on Wednesday.
We had a Book of Mormon mystery dinner, the story of the 5 who went to check on the cheif judge's death and found blood on their brother's cloak. Super fun.
The big news at the farm is that the free bread guy is moving to pennsylvania. Tragic.
WE delivered 200 Valentine's cookies Sunday and MOnday. So much fun. Last Sunday we delivered cookies to RAspberries. Monday we took treats to the Beckstrands.
LIfe is scrumptious. YOU are scrumptious.
The church is true! Can't wait to hear from you!
