We had such a sweet experience tonight. We went to visit Merle Turner, and today Coy and Mckay had been able to come and give her the sacrament. She cried with gratitude for this worthy priest and testified of how much it meant to her for these boys to come and give her the sacrament, and thanked Mckay for coming. It was his first time being part of blessing the sacrament, how sacred that he could be thanked with grateful tears of a sweet 95 year old woman and hear her testimony of how much it means to her. It makes me cry that we have two worthy and wonderful preists in our home. Mckay was darling. After we left (we stayed a long time) I asked if we should go to one more or go home and he said "one more". The spirit was so sweet.
She told us her love story, her life story, and it was filled with so much positive and so much love and gratitude. It was better than a chick flick.
Tonight Merle said as John was laying in bed dying he said "Oh, I just hope they have a job for me when I get there".
Yes, please.
