Top Summer Funnies and Funs...
We got a new, very hot totally sweet looking 12 passenger white van...pretty sweet miracle really. It should have been $12,000, the State surplus accidentally gave it to us for 6K and decided to let us keep it.....It is a great look for a midlife crisis which Jeff and I have scheduled for a fortnight this October.
We were robbed, they took off with the Microsoft Zune but none of the cords...
We had a rockin' awesome Anderscott reunion with 25 or something grandkids, all but 5 under 8, it was AWESOME! We hiked waterfalls, had a mini-EFY birthday party for geriatric Grandpa Jello turning 60 nearly ready to soak his teeth overnight in a paper cup, Princess room, guys golfing, the boys rapelled, Temple Square, Field Day, Nephi adventure, Family history stories, Zumba with Lolly, humanitarian quilt with Grandma Jan,Midway with Nana, Dinner with Grandma Carol, talent show, Jon Schmidt concert, Reall Soccer game, played football in the irrigation, made our own Old Spice commercials, played games, 12 passenger grown up late night ice cream excursions, family dance and went through an incalcuable amount of cereal. It was so fun. I'm so happy that our kids are old enough to really miss each other. The older boys were inseparable, it was awesome. THANKS MOM AND DAD!
A personal highlight for me was a sweet gift of new Sunday clothes from my loving sisters....
Matt and Karen came up from Texas and it was so fun to get everyone together. We have such fun cousins. We had such great food up at Mom and Dad's and it was so fun to catch up.
A sweet friend shared a condo at Snowbird with us for 3 days.
Our chickens died for an unknown reason.
Jeff and I were able to be parents at the Book of Mormon youth conference. We had 10 youngins and we LOVED IT! I love the youth so much. It was a blast. It was so fun to be with Coy.
Mooks earned all his own money for football and try-outs are in the morning. I want to wrap him in bubble wrap so those big boys won't snap him like a chicken. I think I better stay home, grow my hair out and practice my banjo that I don't have yet.
Annie got a new bed from Mckell, more like a loft, and it is SO FUN!
Seth is our escapee from Alcatraz. No matter how we house the littel Houdini, he escapes, usually in only a loin cloth.
I wrote out this super amazing learning growing trash-kickin schedule of all the great things we were going to accomplish this summer. I think we've only done the whole thing one day.
Annie had a weird feeling one day that someone was going to give her a present, and it was going to be Twinkle Toes.
My boys are so fun. They were in the kitchen recently and one asked the other...do you feel the power? What power? The power of underwear on the outside?
Spencer bought a couple of new shirts with his own money and they say "I'm Awesome" and "I belong on TV!" Reminds me of this video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR3rK0kZFkg
I want so much for my beautiful children to feel exactly the way this girl does about life.
Coy is driving all over and registering for highschool! A few weeks away.
He and his friends have been going to the temple together on Wednesdays, then they'll come home and play games in their suits. They were playing instruments and messing around and thought they should make up a band where they wear their suits called the Goody Two Shoes...
Jeff was helping a friend resolve a debt with one of these cash now payday places, and the owner said that Jeff was the most intimidating person he has ever met. The adversary was predatory and out of line, and I thought it was quite a compliment, considering the situation....
We found the coolest school that pays for homeschool materials and pays for the children to have a laptop, even for partial enrollment, so Mook is going half time and Spen will be home full time. Annie and Joseph are full time, and they have already started.
Annie thinks A N N A L I sounds like the call for a radio station...
I can not describe my gratitude for the blessings and miracles of heaven in our lives. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father! We could never live in a way to show our gratitude enough, we will be forever in his debt.
