It was finally Annie's turn to go to Desert Star with Mom to see "Snooty and the Beast!" The gift of season tickets has been one of the best all time memory-making Christmas gifts...I LOVE IT! So, we get ready, jump in the car, she buckles in and says "I'll just be back here talking to you and pretending to text on my cell phone. Talking and texting, what could be better than that?" (She's five, and no one in her famil texts right now but Dad). I was asking her about some of her favorite things and on Holidays she said she liked Easter best. She further explained that Halloween doesn't "present" something and Easter "presents" the empty tomb, and that all holidays should "present" something. We ran out to the car to finish our food during intermission and I told her to sit in front. She said "people will think we're like Spencer and Rachel because they're always go do stuff like restaurants and stuff". It is so fun to get one child at a time away from everything and just talk, it makes me realize how much of what I do every day is bossy and maintenance. Everything is easy about parenting except the parenting part! At the end of the play she said someone's hair was "kind of 80's". She is so darling, we had so much fun! Thanks for the tickets Jeffrey love!
