Coy has an appointment to receive his patriarchal blessing. He finished the homeschool curriculum, and I forced him to go buy “happy shorts” for EFY. He doesn’t know what to expect, and he has no idea that there is a dance, and we’re keeping it that way. Now we’re halfway through the week. They just walked in from Thursday night, and he is beaming. His so funny friend is staying over and going with him, along with Jen and Cam. Coy is so thoughtful and deep, I just love him. I don’t know what I would have done without him this year with Seth. He and Seth are bonded for life. He calls us both “Mom”. Coy has gotten into podcasts, and loves the Classic Tales Podcast. I feel he has really developed a love for great literature. He reads so much that his vocabulary is obese, if often mispronounced. He is so ready for his patriarchal blessing. I listed a number of activities and had him rate them according to importance and enjoyment, and on a scale 1-10 he rated the blessing an 11 on both.

Mooks tried out for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor dreamcoat for Benjamin, and he was cast before he even finished Mary Poppins. He was also just elected Student Body Officer for South Hills. He is really busy, and is prone to jump into everything that comes his way. I want to help him (and myself) keep life in balance. He has a sweet ability to keep things chill, and funny. I love that ability in him. Everyone will be escalating to emotional epilepsy, and he will say something funny to break the tension. He jokes about everything, and he is just always happy. I’m amazed at his ability to just be happy under any circumstances. . He has been such a joy to raise. He thinks he will go to middle school and stretch himself at home.

Spen, the Basketball man, is so awesome. We just had his hip-hop dance concert last night and he was rockin’ with all kinds of gymnastics. He is just a sweet boy, a joy to be around. He is always always outside, and I think the only thing he really really loves that has to do with a paper and a pencil is art. He has his buds at school, and he is really really good buds with Parker. They hang out all the time. They started a business for weeding and yardwork, and Lucy Peterson hired them.

Oh, My Joseph, he is such a crazy man. I am excited to spend some one on one with him next year. He got an extra helping of gumption and sometimes it just oozes out all over the place and he will commence in wild and unexplainable gyrations of all kinds of contortions. He always always always has friends, and I think next year will be so good. He needs to have some time to actually think. He has enjoyed the money coming in from his acting job, and is now quite a popular person. Everyone tries to get him to “ go in with them” on things to buy. He loves rocks, and picks them up everywhere. He brought some cool ones home from Maple Canyon in Fairview a couple of weeks ago.

Annie, I already wrote some of the fun things she has said lately.

She has so many questions, and loves to let me know when I am out of line in any way. Seth is such a crazy. I take him to the store, put him in the front of the cart, he climbs out, put him in the back, he throws all the stuff out, let him walk, and he runs away. He climbed out of his crib and his highchair last night, and got a bloody lip from climbing up on the side of the tub then falling in. He is such a beautiful baby and such a love, he is such a snuggle bug. He can do the actions to popcorn popping. We still call him a one-pack (as opposed to a six pack).
