So, I think after it is all said and done, we may just realize the little things are the big things. Things like Spencer and Joseph getting up early to make breakfast, and Spencer saying "this batter is stiff and fisty! I'm ready to cook!" It may be things like Seth's squealing giggle as someone chases the one holding him up the stairs, or this cute face of his through the banister. I think things like everyone calling the baby "new new tewpes" and Coy handing us our evening book to read, with a pile waiting to be the next book, Mckay jammin out to Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband and buggin' me to take him to Wal-mart to get karate treats, Annie doing arch ups and asking for us to tell her scary stories, Annie being mad when the story isn't scary enough, Joseph and Spencer running their little legs off at flag football, Annie asking me where it all started, when was God born and how did it all start, Joseph asking how leaves make oxygen and what makes cement stick together..Joseph trying so so hard to hold still when he's supposed to, and even the dirty socks, sweaty heads, emotional wealth of a 4 year old girl (her Mom always breaks her heart she says) and just sitting down at dinner together is precious.
I love how everyone sticks their legs out for Seth so he can walk around them, craving for Christmas cookies, Spencer's soft voice and huge smile, and how he plays his piano songs so fast and gets a kick out of everything, Annie calling Seth the funniest names all the time like "you little onesie tonsie" and "human raspberry", Annie telling about the cucumber she put in her unitard that came out the other end, picking tomatoes in the garden, Coy's craving for Christmas cookies in the middle of an October afternoon, making applesauce together, reading at night with everyone piled around...I love how the lava lamp mysteriously appears whenever we're doing anything fun..the kids putting up 70 bottles of peaches and peach jam for 6 hours straight with movies, just putting a binky in and rocking the baby to sleep and hearing him giggle while everyone runs in to see why... Oh, all these precious joys. I really am so incredibly grateful for the simple joys!

Jana, I just had to say thanks for being my hero. I truly want to be the kind of mother that you are. Thanks for being you!
How sweet it is!
I know who I'm going to invite to my house next year when it's canning season. I did 21 bottles of tomatoes and thought I had really done well. We could turn canning into a real party. Thanks for sharing your family with me. I love each of you.
