I just want to record some things I just love about my kids. I love how Coy talks to Seth, and how he can't stand it if he's in the room and not holding him. Everyone calls him a Seth stealer. I love his little half smile when he's telling us something funny. I love how he says "crap" when he messes up on the 3 levels of misery on the piano and has to start over. I love how last night he gave Mckay a gift of an outing to the dollar theatre, and then he said as he walked away "I still need to earn the two bucks!". I love how he loves the podcasts, and wants the complete Sherlock Holmes collection so bad he even had a dream about it! I love how he is praying about whether or not to switch to this charter school. I love the marks around his eyes from his swim goggles, and how he comes home from swimming ready to eat the house, and always has 2 or 3 plates full of food at every meal. I love how he loves home and family. He loves to be home and I am enjoying every second of that as he is almost 14! Our Mckay is 12 and I love his little groovy style, every day he has a button collared shirt with a white shirt under and a little boy necklace. I love how he gets up at 5 every day, he is really dragging the rest of us to a better place. I love how when the baby cries he says "he wants a little bit of Mookie" and tries to make him happy. I love how he wants to be a comedian, lego designer or a country singer. He uses his smile a lot and is just really pleasant. He enjoys the little kids and makes their life fun playing with them and teaching them karate. He is having so much fun in school. He's on the student council and joining the orchestra. He is just always ready for the next adventure. Spen is so much fun. He loves to play outside and is always trying to pull the kids away from video games to go play golf, b-ball or soccer with him. He likes to learn one song on the piano and then play it faster and faster and faster. He got one recently down to about 5 and a half seconds. This doesn't always go over well with the natives, but I think it's funny. His aversion to meat is almost as strong as his father's aversion to health food! He is so soft spoken. He just never ever raises his voice, even when he's fighting he speaks softly. He did not get this from me. He wants every kind of sports ball for Christmas, just one of each. He is a groovy groovy dancer. He likes to talk sometimes, and he has a good friend at school, Brennan, and they "walk and talk" at recess. He always has some funny story that one of his friends told him. He is such a joy to be with. Joseph is a firecracker. He is really growing up right now. I remember with my other boys that they really changed from the little boy who just plays and doesn't think about it all to a bigger, more thoughtful, questioning emotional child before baptism. He is goign through this, this child who has never held still in his life is lost in thought sometimes. I still can't believe this little energy boy isn't in the principal's office every day for wiggling, but he has never been in trouble once at school I love how he has a jillion friends and they all look to him to see what fun thing they are going to do . My favorite thing they play is "whoever you want to be house". He made a "Huggies" robot, hugging everyone (a little too hard:). I know those days are numbered and we are enjoying them while they last. He is the protector of the little girls, Annie and Hailey when they are too scared to go in the treehouse in the forest alone they come get big strong Joseph and he puts his arms around them and takes them down. I love how he and Spencer take their shirts off and dance to blasting tunes in their room. Annie is so absolutely darling, except every day I find some way to inadvertently "break her heart". If I make her brush her teeth, clean her room, clear her place or any number of other horrible mean things, I "break her heart". She has all these darling darling names for Seth, "lubby, onesie tonsie, little cuter patooter. He loves her, and even though it is a war and a half for me to brush her hair, she lets him pull it! She started gymnastics, and it is really hard, they really push the little girs. The first week she was doing arch ups and holding them . Her little body was shaking and she had tears in her eyes, but she didn't quit. SheAt the end of class she said "I didn't even quit one bit! I love how she comes out in the funniest clothing combinations and I have to choose my battles, and usually I deicde that one isn't important enough. She has so many questions about life and wants to know everything about everything. She doesn't like to work AT ALL, but she likes to talk. Seth is so deliciously yummy. I love how he is walking around everything, spitting, singing, growling, cheesing for the camera and I think he said his first words yesterday on purpose. He said "ba ba" then did this little fake cry. We asked him if he wanted a baba and he did it again. He is such a joy to all of us. He makes funny faces and he has a high concentration of opinions per pound, knowing full well he can get anyone to do anything for him. I love his little fat knees. He is such a hugger and a kisser. I guess it's all he's ever known. I love Jeff so much. He loves his kids like crazy, it is so fun to have a true companion and pray, plot, plan, worry over and enjoy this little family together. I love to talk to him and I love love love that he comes home to me at night. As for me, instead of getting after everyone I'm still trying to get ahead of them, plan ahead, be ahead, keep my head, use me head, entertain intelligible thoughts once in a while and stop interrupting myself. I love my little family and want to be so so so much better for them. I forgot Joseph the other day and had to come back to get him. I'm still medium frazzled, highly organizationally challenged and extremely extremely blessed. I love my Heavenly Father and the Savior so much, and I am so grateful for the Spirit's guidance. I cherish the atonement and I am so glad the sun comes up every day! Love to all!
