In an effort to be updated and savvy instead of my true almost 36 year old self who's personal fashion index is waning, I am joining the world of blogging just to be cool. Inside me is still the big-banged 7th grade girl in stirrup pants, matching socks, pumps, a waist-belt and huge plastic blue earrings just wanting to be very very cool. Today, I will appease her by joining the world of blogging! Please only post comments that tell me how cool I am or my blog is, if that is not what you're going to say please go tweeze your eyebrows, sort your recycling, or label your pasta or something.

So, recently I was so tired of the happy little socks floating around my house so elated to be single forevermore and unwilling to find a companion and settle down contentedlike in a little drawer, that I stood at the top of the stairs and I said "TIGHTS! From now on, everyone in this house will wear tights and tights only." In a pleasant but surly blend of Lousia May Alcott and Hollywood I could call my program "Little Men in Tights". I think it will go quite well until my 7th grader leans forward in science and the top of the boxers are supposed to show a little bit....

Maybe I can sew boxer liners to the top of the tights, or maybe sew the tights onto the boxers! Hey, there's my million dollar idea, the all in one sock boxer combo! I can just see my 5 boys later on the purple couch telling their therapist about why they struggled with the locker room scene....

Annie is such a good example of why the Lord wants us to become like little children. Jeff and I are often discussing the backyard with sighs, downcast looks and little tantrums including some fancy tae kwon doe because there is so much to do and so much money to spend. Annie looked out the window Saturday morning and in an overjoyed voice shared the news that our whole backyard was full of purple flowers! She thought it was a gift of spring from heaven and she spent two hours picking a bucketful of flowers with Joseph! I hope I never forget her shiny eyes and smile as she looked at that field of flowers!

Well, I continue to be more blessed than I deserve, to try to dry the clothes on the same day that I put them in the washer, to try to be patient with the scandalous lifestyle of my single socks, to not cry with joy watching my 7th grade boy square his shoulders and face the world so well every day, to figure out how to wash Mckay's Legoland hat and enjoy Spencer's "we Thank Thee O God for a Prophet" on the piano getting faster and faster every day, to keep enough bandaids in the house for Joseph, to see the spring weeds through Annie's eyes and to eat up every minute with a little smiley baby that is growing way too fast! I love my husband and best friend and this sounds like a testimony meeting so I'll close by saying, please eat your granola and I hope this works!
